About UsThe Peachtree Wind Ensemble has served as the Southern Crescent's community band since 1991, offering musicians and the community opportunities to enjoy music together in and around Fayette and Coweta Counties, GA. Members come from all professions and include amateur musicians, music professionals, and former musicians returning to music.
Under the direction of Mike Daniell, the PWE Concert Season features a Spring Concert, Summer Patriotic Concert, Fall Concert, and Christmas Concert. Additional performances include community events, festivals, and small ensemble performances. The ensemble has a large and varied repertoire which is selected to encourage listener involvement. Marches, jazz, classical / symphonic adaptations for band, Broadway, modern pop songs, seasonal songs and innovative compositions from modern composers. PWE rehearses on Monday nights from 7:30-9:00 p.m. at Fayette Friendship Community Church, 847 New Hope Road, Fayetteville Georgia. Rehearsals run eleven months out of the year with breaks during summer vacation and winter holidays. Together we share a passion for music and believe that a community rich in the arts, flourishes. |
