Volunteer
Peachtree Wind Ensemble needs volunteers to help further our Mission and Goals.
Volunteering for PWE is about helping us build a World Class Community Band which operates as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Thus allowing us to build our following, share our music and build a name that is known throughout the State and Country. However, the real benefits of volunteering aren’t things, or even music—they are the impact and experiences you have as well as the lasting friendships you make.
What volunteer opportunities are available?

Marketing & Public Relations

Post Posters Around Town - Taking posters to assigned areas of town and posting at local businesses etc.
Compose Press Releases - Writing simple Press Releases for upcoming individual concerts.
Brochure/Poster/Program Design - Create brochures, posters and programs.
Photography - Take photos at our various concerts and activities.
Call & Email Marketing Contact List - Call and email contact list including critical media entities, newspapers, magazines, radio stations, nursing homes, etc. to spread the word about PWE and our Concerts.
Social Media Management - Assist as a contributor for one or more of the PWE Social Media Sites, Public Facebook Page, Members Facebook Group, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
Website Maintenance - Assist with maintaining the PWE website to keep content fresh and up to date.
Donations, Sponsorships & Grants

Concert Greeters(Family/Friend) - Stand at greeters/donation table before and/or after each concert , welcome and thank audience for attending, hand out programs, and ask for donations.
PWE Alumni Database - Help track down past members who are no longer active and build a database of these Alumni.
PWE Alumni Outreach - create bi-monthly updates/mini newsletter to keep Alumni informed.
Private Donations - Help with getting donations from private individuals.
Corporate Sponsors - Contact corporations for potential sponsorship and donations.
Program Ad Sales - Contact businesses to help sell ads for our concert programs.
Grant Writing - If you have knowledge of or experience in grant writing, we would love to have your help.
Music Librarians & Assistants

Music Sorting Assistance - Taking home a piece/s of music and putting it in score order.
Music Filing Assistance - Meeting at the Music Library and filing music in its appropriate space.
Music Stamping & Numbering Assistance - Taking home a piece/s of music and stamping each sheet of music.
Music Collection Assistance - Collecting music from Section Leaders at the end of each concert series, ensuring it is in appropriate order.
Music Copying Assistance - Taking music to the copiers and making necessary copies.
Concerts & Activities

Concert Recording/Video (Family/Friend) - Using PWE equipment, record audio of each concert from back of concert venue, Video each concert from optimal vantage point,
Concerts & Activities Planning - Assist with locating exciting venues and performance opportunities, Planning members social activities
Concert Venue & Activities Set-Up - Assist with set up and break down of all concerts and member activities.
Membership & Equipment

New Member Ambassadors - Welcoming new members, taking them under your wing, checking in with them at rehearsals, and showing them the ropes.
Equipment Transport - Assisting with the loading, unloading and transport of all band equipment for all concerts.
